Angela Garland is the Founder of SwingSpace.  She got her start in the shared office business in 1986 as a receptionist working for her mom at HQ Business Centers.  Since then she has managed, owned and developed over 7 business centers and has been involved in the shared space industry off and on for over 25 years.

This summer Angela is opening the first of several Exit 11 Workspaces which are business clubs / coworking spaces in the St. Louis area.  Angela loves efficiency, maximizing and connecting.  One of the biggest challenges that coworking centers and business centers have is getting the word out about their hourly meeting rooms and offices.  One of the challenges of mobile workers is finding a place to host a meeting when you don't have your own physical space.

While attending a Product Camp last spring she learned about the "sharing economy" or "peer to peer market places".  The idea of helping fellow business centers and coworking spaces market their underutilized space via an online platform was exciting to her and she knew that the other owners would love it.  The platform is great for ANY company (law firm, consulting firm, real estate office, hotel) that has a board room, training room or empty office.  Angela and the near.me team are building the platform and the database of future guests and hosts.  Stay tuned for the launch!
